Procurement Guidance
Frequently Asked Questions by UK Workwear Buyers
Essential answers regarding UK shipping, custom specifications, compliance, and ordering parameters.
What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for custom UK workwear orders?
Our minimum order quantity is 200 pieces per style/colorway. Within that 200-unit minimum, you can split sizing freely (e.g., S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL) at no additional charge. Pre-production physical samples are produced and delivered for physical inspection before any bulk manufacturing commences.
How are customs duties, UK Import VAT, and shipping handled for UK deliveries?
We offer full Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) shipping directly to UK business addresses, warehouses, or fulfillment centers (such as London, Birmingham, Manchester, or Glasgow). Under DDP terms, our logistics partners manage all UK customs clearance, import tariffs, and UK VAT documentation. The price quoted is your final landed cost with zero hidden customs clearance fees.
Can you manufacture workwear to match UK & European safety standards (BS EN ISO)?
Yes. We source specialized fabrics certified for colorfastness, tear resistance, and anti-static performance that align with British Standards (BS EN standards). We can incorporate retroreflective tape compliant with BS EN ISO 20471 for high-visibility requirements and construct garments with flame-retardant or DWR water-repellent treatments upon request.
What is the total turnaround time from initial inquiry to final UK warehouse delivery?
Quotation and technical feedback are provided within 24 to 48 hours. Pattern development and physical sample production take 7 to 10 business days. Once the sample is approved, bulk production requires 2 to 3 weeks for standard heavyweight fleeces and work hoodies (3 to 4 weeks for specialized garment-dyed or complex outerwear programs). Express air shipping to the UK takes 4 to 7 days, while ocean freight takes approximately 22 to 28 days.
Do we need to supply complete vector tech packs before placing an order?
No. While existing tech packs are welcomed, our in-house pattern design team routinely works from physical reference garments, mockups, photographs, or rough sketches. We engineer complete production tech packs—including graded measurement specs, seam callouts, trim sheets, and artwork placement grids—and present them for your sign-off before sampling.
What custom branding and private label options are available for UK brands?
We deliver a complete white-label/private-label retail solution: custom woven neck tags, printed care/content labels, heat-transfer inner neck labels, branded hangtags, custom engraved zip pullers (YKK hardware), silicone puff printing, high-density screen printing, 15-color multi-head embroidery, and custom-printed poly bags with barcode stickers.
How do your heavyweight work fleeces prevent pilling and shrinkage in industrial washes?
We use premium long-staple combed cotton and pre-shrunk fleece fabrics that undergo lab testing for dimensional stability and wash shrinkage (maintained under 3-5%). Anti-pilling treatments (singeing and enzyme bio-washing) are applied during fabric finishing to ensure garments withstand repeated heavy-duty commercial laundering.
Are sustainable, GOTS-certified organic cotton, and recycled fabrics available?
Yes. We maintain strong fabric mill relationships providing GOTS-certified organic cotton, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 non-toxic dyed yarns, and GRS-certified recycled polyester. Sustainable fabric options are fully documented with transaction certificates for UK brands with strict ESG procurement mandates.
